Graphic Narrative

This short manga, entitled "The Flat Bell" is a graphic narrative adapted from a scientific article.

The article itself, enititled “Survival Stories | Meet the Scientist: Dr Claire Rowe” written by Dr Zoe Sadokierski and Ceridwen Dovey is a chronicle of Dr Rowe's research into the upside-down "cassiopea" jellyfish. I specifically honed in on the part of the article which discusses the cassiopea's flat bells which are unlike the curved ones of most jellyfish. I then depicted this as the difference between flat and 'curved' tyres on cars. In addition, I also portrayed the multiplication of their population and destructive tendencies in a humourous fashion for the ending.
